Philippine Olympic body declares Choy Cojuangco group official national federation

The Philippine Olympic Committee recently declared the Jiu-jitsu Federation of the Philippines (JJFP) as the sport's national governing body.

Jaffer Al Muthafer, secretary general of Ju-Jitsu Asian Union, joined POC officials recently and offered his support to JJFP president Choy Cojuangco.

Confusion over which organization was the accredited national governing body arose when another group challenged the legitimacy of the JJFP, leading to a suspension by the international federation.

With Muthafer meeting with the POC and Cojuangco, the issue has now been settled.
