New Year at the “Borets” sports base

The 1st in-club championship on the occasion of the New Year celebration took place at the “Borets” sports base in Kropivnitskiy city on 22 and 23 December 2018. 
In total, the championship gathered more than 240 participants who were divided into 4 groups. The contest in the categories and intensity of emotions were comparable to the world championship. The winners and runners-up of the competition were awarded with medals. In addition, all and everyone received sweets from the sponsor – the “BioTexCom” company.
The club expresses gratitude to all participants, their parents, as well as the sponsor of the club!

The “Ukrainian National Challenge”: upcoming season 2019




The Ukrainian Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (UBJJF) has officially announced the start of a new competitive season. 
In 2019 ten rating Gi and No-Gi championships are waiting for BJJ fighters and fans. They will take place in four major cities of Ukraine. In addition children championship and the Ukrainian Cup in “Submission Only” format will be held next season.
The upcoming championships are open to all Ukrainian clubs and academies without exception. Moreover, teams of the neighboring countries and beyond can also participate at the “Ukrainian National Challenge”.
The Gi and No-Gi championships will be held in the following cities:
-UNC Lviv, 2-3 March 2019
– UNC Kharkiv, 11-12 May 2019
– UNC Kids Odessa, 1st June 2019
– UNC Odessa, 14-15 September 2019
– UNC Kiev, 1-2 December 2019
– Ukraine National Cup (summer of autumn 2019).
The Ukrainian Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation pledge that the new 2019 UNC season will give the fighters a great opportunity to demonstrate their BJJ skills and to feel incredible vibes of the competitions.

The upcoming “Manila International Open IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu No-Gi Championship”

The “Manila International Open IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu No-Gi Championship” will be held in Manila (Philippines) next year. 
The championship will take place on the territory of the SM “Mall of Asia” on 26 and 27 January 2019. Fighters of three categories, juniors (blue and purple belts), adults and masters (blue, purple, brown and black belts) are welcomed to participate.
The “Manila International Open IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu No-Gi Championship” will be held under the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation authority. Registration for the championship is open until 18 January 2019.
Organizers of the event emphasize that participants of the championship will feel an incredible spirit of the contest and receive invaluable experience.

Achievements of the SC “Borets” at the “World IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu No-Gi Championship”

The “World IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu No-Gi Championship” took place in Anaheim (CA) recently. 
Fighters of the SC “Borets” /ZR Team Yaroslav Blazhko and Serhii Krasovskyi have represented Ukraine at the international sports arena.
During the competition, Yaroslav had 4 fights, three of which he won by technical superiority. However, Ukrainian fighter lost one point to the world champion during the semifinal fight.
According to the results of the championship, Yaroslav Blazhko took bronze of the “World IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu No-Gi Championship” among the adults of the purple belts.
In addition, Serhii Krasovskyi won the gold medal of the “World IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu No-Gi Championship” among juniors.

Results of the “Ukrainian Open Jiu-Jitsu Championship”

The annual BJJ event “Ukrainian Open Jiu-Jitsu Championship” took place in Kiev last weekend. 
According to the results of the championship, the ZR Team Ukraine scored 150 points and won 1st team place among children and juniors. 112 points out of 150 were scored by the fighters from the Kropivnitskiy city, Ukraine.
The ZR Team Ukraine won 9 gold, 4 silver and 4 bronze medals in the overall standings.
The head coach of the team Ievgen Skyrda noted that young fighters gained invaluable experience during this championship that would be helpful for their further growth in the BJJ world.

Yaroslav Blazhko and Roman Nepota at the “European Jiu-Jitsu IBJJF Championship 2019”


The most prestigious BJJ event “European Jiu-Jitsu IBJJF Championship 2019” will take place in Lisbon next year. The competition will be held in one of Portugal sports complexes from 14 to 20 January 2019. 
It’s worth noting that sportsmen of the SC “Borets” Yaroslav Blazhko and Roman Nepota have already managed to win medals at this competition among the adults of the blue belts. The Ukrainian fighters intend to win top places of the same championship among the adults of the purple belts next year.
The final stage of the preparation within the frameworks of the “European Jiu-Jitsu IBJJF Championship 2019” will take place at the SC “Borets” sports base from 2 to 6 January 2019. All interested representatives of the BJJ are allowed to participate, regardless of team or academy.

Ukrainian fighters are ready for the “World IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu No-Gi Championship”!



The “World IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu No-Gi Championship” will start tomorrow in the Anaheim, USA. This competition will last for three days – from 14 to 16 of December. This prestigious tournament is going to be a worthy end of the year for many talented fighters!

Sportsmen from all over the world will perform at the American sports arena. Ukrainian fighters from the SC “Borets” / ZR Team will also take part in the competition. Yaroslav Blazhko and Serhii Krasovskyi will attend the international tournament to compete for the one more champion title.

In total, fighters will perform in three age categories: juniors, adults, and masters. The event will take place under the authority of the IBJJF.

The final stage of the Brazilian jiu-jitsu championship “Ukraine National Challenge 2018” was held in Kiev on the 1st of December.

Hundreds of best Ukrainian fighters participated in number of championships, which took place in four Ukrainian cities: Kharkov, Odessa, Lvov, and Kiev. As a result, list of the strongest jiu-jitsu fighters of 2018 was created taking into account results of the “Ukraine National Challenge 2018”.

ZR Team at the “Ivano-Frankivsk Open Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2018 Gi”

  
Ivano-Frankovsk city has hosted an exciting “Ivano-Frankivsk Open Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2018 Gi” recently. 

Sportsmen from the “ZR Team Kyiv” and “ZR Team Kyiv Kids” took a lot of well-deserved rewards. According to the results of the championship, fighters got the first team place among adults and the third place among kids. 

Matvej Chornenkij, Nikolaj Chechetko, and Vadim Utkin took gold medals at the championship. Vladislav Belyaev got silver, and Timur Bondar won a bronze medal.

Upcoming “Ukrainian Open Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2018”


 
 The largest annual Ukrainian BJJ tournament “Ukrainian Open Jiu-Jitsu Championship” will be held in Kiev soon. This championship is known among the Ukrainian fighters as the main event of the year!

The championship will take place at the sports arena of the National University of Ukraine on Physical Education and Sport on December 15-16. Sportsmen of three age categories are welcomed to participate: children (4-17 years old), adults (18+), and masters (35+).

Traditionally, this championship is held in the capital of Ukraine and gathers a huge number of sportsmen from throughout Ukraine who compete for the champion title. Ukrainian Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation is the main organizer of the competition.
