Ukrainian fighters conquered Spain!



Ukrainian fighters from “Black Bee Jiu Jitsu” team have honorably represented their country at the “Europe Continental Pro Jiu-Jitsu Championship” recently. International sports event was held on February 23 in Malaga (Spain).

The championship was open to the owners of different belts of all nationalities and age divisions: kids, juveniles, adults, and masters. The UAEJJF rules were applied to the challenge.

Talented athletes from many countries, including fighters from Ukraine, attended the tournament in order to gain invaluable BJJ experience.  In general, Ukrainian sportsmen won 4 medals. Yaroslav Kizenko and Bogdana Golub received gold medals, Ivan Gladush and Alexander Matviichuk – silver. All athletes competed in Gi.

Ukrainians proved one more time they are one of the strongest rivals.

Jair Correa held a two-day seminar in Kiev!


Recently the BJJ seminar was held by the head of “BLAKZ BJJ Ukraine” club, in Kiev, Ukraine. Jair Correa, the black belt owner (2nd Dan) shared own rich experience and interesting secrets of BJJ art.

During the two-day seminar, 9 athletes got blue belts being certified. In addition, owners of purple and brown belts received new grau. Undoubtedly, all fighters received an interesting experience for the further development and improvement of own BJJ skills.

It must be noted, that the “BLAKZ BJJ Ukraine” club is a representative of the international BJJ Academy “BLAKZ Team” and has an official status of the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation member!

BJJ training camp for juveniles


The 3-day BJJ training camp will take place at the territory of the International tennis academy in Pushcha-Vodytsia, Ukraine, on March 8-11. Young sportsmen from 5 to 16 years old will be able to feel the unique atmosphere of jiu-jitsu and discover something new in this sport.

During the camp participants will attend 6 jiu-jitsu trainings under the guidance of 5 top jiu-jitsu coaches, including Aleksandr Matviichuk and Bogdana Golub. Matviichuk is the purple belt owner, the multiple winner of world championships and the champion of Ukraine, the head coach of the “Black Bee Jiu-Jitsu” team and the representative of the “CheckMat International” team. Golub also competes in the purple belt category and won numerous European and Ukrainian championships.

In the course of the camp, young fighters will get acquainted with the Jiu-Jitsu philosophy, learn the basic and main BJJ techniques, as well as learn how to work in pairs. The camp will help sportsmen to develop coordination and strategic thinking.

America will host “Pan Jiu-Jitsu IBJJF Championship 2019”!




The “Pan Jiu-Jitsu IBJJF Championship 2019” is one of the biggest and most important tournaments of the BJJ year. This year it will take place in Irvine, USA, on March 20-24. 

The “Pan Championship” is held under the auspices of IBJJF. It’s one of the four “IBJJF Grand Slam” events, which include “European Jiu-Jitsu IBJJF Championship”, “Brazilian National Jiu-Jitsu Championship” and “World IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu Championship”. It must be noted the “Pan Championship” is the second one in order of importance after the World Championship! 

Owners of white and color belts of three age categories are welcomed to participate: juvenile (16-17 years old), adults (18+), and masters (30+). Closing date for applications is set on March 11.

The upcoming championship is considered to be one of the most difficult and at the same time interesting for all BJJ sportsmen, so we wish all participants successful fights!

Poland will host an international BJJ championship



The “Poznań International Open IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu Championship” will be held in Lubon city, Poland, on March 30. Competition will take place at the territory of the recreation center “LOSiR Sp”. Sportsmen will compete in the Gi and No-Gi categories.

Athletes of the following age categories are welcomed to participate in Gi: juvenile (16-17 years old), adults (18+), and masters (30+). In the No-Gi category, only adults (18+) and masters (30+) can compete. Winners of their categories are able to participate in the absolute weight category.

The tournament is organized by the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation. Closing date for applications is set on March 22.
