Next week, between the 16th and 21st, BJJ will be taking over Odivelas, Portugal for another edition of the European IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu Championship.
This will be the 15th European Open since the tournament started back in 2004, having been a tremendous tool for the development of the gentle art in the old continent.
Caio Terra, Marcio Andre, Gianni Grippo were among the last names to appear in their weight division.
The medium-heavyweight division is among the most intriguing and packs serious firepower: the combined presence of Leandro Lo, Lucas Barbosa, Renato Cardoso, and others!
Keenan Cornelius is back in Portugal for this first time since he was a brown belt, and he’ll compete at heavyweight. Jackson Sousa and Adam Wardzinksi of Checkmat are also in this division.
Erberth Santos is in at super-heavy, while ultra-heavy will see three GF Team black belts in the mix in the form of Ricardo Evangelista, Victor Honorio, and Antonio Nasicmento.
