Ukrainian fighter won the Abu Dhabi championship medal!

 

The major “Challenge Jiu-Jitsu Championship under 18” was held in Abu Dhabi, UAE, recently. Talented athletes from all over the world successfully performed at this sports event. Ukraine was also represented at the championship.

Serhii Krasovskyi, young and strong fighter from the SC “Borets”, won the gold medal at the championship, in the category of blue belts among juniors. According to the head coach of the club, Ievgen Skyrda, his athlete has received very important sport experience in addition to the well-deserved medal at this tournament.

Serhii easily defeated his first three rivals. All matches Ukrainian won with a huge score in his favor. But the last fight became a serious challenge for the athlete. In the final, the Ukrainian champion faced with a very strong, highly trained and motivated opponent. However, Krasovskyi managed to get an impressive victory, and proudly received his gold medal.

Wolfgang Heindel will hold BJJ seminar in Kiev!

 

Talented master of the Brazilian jiu-jitsu will hold a seminar in Kiev, Ukraine, from 15 to 17 of March. The three-day seminar will take place at the territory of the SC “Orion”.

Wolfgang Heindel is a well-known BJJ black belt owner from Germany. Sportsman owns a lot of titles and has a great number of impressive achievements: 4^th Dan (Jiu-Jitsu), 3^rd Dan (Judo), he is owner of the World and European BJJ champion titles. Wolfgang Heindel won gold at the London and Munich BJJ Master Open Championships. In addition, Wolfgang is a curator of Mexican JJIF team and founder of the “Wolfgang Heindel Academy”.

Ukrainian Serhii Krasovskyi at the “Challenge Jiu-Jitsu Championship under 18”

The prestigious BJJ event “Challenge Jiu-Jitsu Championship under 18” will take place in Abu Dhabi tomorrow. 

The competition will be held in the territory of the “Mubudala Arena” sports complex from 7 to 9 February 2019. The fighters aged up to 18 years old will take part in the forthcoming championship.

The contest will take place under the UAEJJF authority.

Fighter of the SC “Borets” Serhii Krasovskyi will represent Ukraine on the global stage in the category of blue belts among juniors.

According to Ievgen Skirda, the head coach of the SC “Borets”, 22 fighters were also registered in Serhii`s category.

The 1st stage of the “Jiu Jitsu Ukraine League” championship

 

Registration for the first stage of the “Jiu Jitsu Ukraine League” championship is open! The competition will take place on the territory of the SC “Epicenter” in Khmelnytskyi city on March 16-17.

Both beginners and experienced fighters will be able to prove themselves in Gi on March 16, and will show their skills in No-Gi on March 17.

The main uniqueness of the championships of this league is that sportsmen are divided into categories “Novice” and “Experienced”. Children will perform in the “Novice” category - unexperienced owners of white belts, who will get a chance to win a medal and get a new motivation. Children with color belts will compete in the “Experienced” category. They will get an important practice of BJJ grappling technique in order to compete in the future well-known championships in prestigious categories.

London will host “London Winter International Open IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu Championship”

 

The “London Winter International Open IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu Championship” will be held this month in the UK. The competition will take place in the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre on February 23^rd. 

Sportsmen of three categories are welcomed to participate: juvenile (16-17 years old), adults (18+ years old), and masters (30+ years old). Closing date for applications is set on February 15^th.

This tournament is organized by the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation. Traditionally, this competition will gather athletes from all over the world who will compete for the champion title.

The first stage of the “Ukraine National Challenge 2019”

Just in a few weeks, Ukrainian fighters will be able to show their BJJ skills during the first stage of the “Ukraine National Challenge 2019” championship!

The primary goal of the Ukrainian Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (UFBJJ) is the maximum development of this sport. Therefore, starting from 2019, the No-Gi format (grappling without kimono) is introduced at tournaments. The “Ukraine National Challenge 2019” will last 2 days: the first day for competition in Gi, the second day for No-Gi. 

Competitions will take place on the territory of the “Galicia Sports Palace” in Lvov on March 2-3. The championship will be held under the IBJJF rules. Sportsmen of three age categories are welcomed to participate: juniors (16-17 years old), adults (18-29 years old), and Masters (30+ years old).

Participants who will take prize places will be awarded medals. Winners of the absolute categories will receive a certificate for $50.
