The “Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Hungarian Open Budapest”
championship took place in Budapest, Hungary on November, 17. This competition
was held for the 14th year in a row! Athletes from many countries,
including fighters from Ukraine, showed their jiu-jitsu skills.
The Ukrainian sportsmen from the “ZR Team Ukraine”
have joined their efforts and got the 3rd team place at the
championship!
Athletes Nikolai Tserkovnyi and Alexander Mazurenko
won gold in the Gi category. In addition, Alexander Sokol got a silver medal in
his weight and gold in absolute, and Serhii Paziurystyi received one silver
medal. Both athletes also performed in the Gi.
Moreover, Ukrainian fighter Daniil Pihul managed to
win 4 medals in the championship! In the Gi category he won gold in his weight
and bronze in the absolute, and in the No-Gi category sportsman got two more
gold medals!
Ukrainians proved one more time they are one of the
strongest rivals.
